"Shuriken" is the manga-inspired comic book series that was created and self published by Reggie Byers in  1985. It was one of the highest selling independent black& white comics of that time. 

It features the story of Kyoko Shidara, a skilled fighter who is employed by a league of assassins, although she only carried out bodyguard assignments. She attempts to leave the organization only to come across her long lost twin brother who is a ruthless assassin for the Yakuza.
